Unsuccessful Day of Fishing

7:30am on a Saturday morning... not exactly the most exciting time for me, unless of coarse I am on my way to go fishing with my dad, brother, and niece! Most of you that know me well, know that I absolutely love fishing. It has been something that I was introduced to at a young age by my dad, and I fell in love with it. It has been something that me, Dad, and Nate have been able to do together since I was 12 years old. I look forward to each and every fishing day that we have ahead of us, and cherish the memories of the many fishing days we have shared thus far. Sitting at a lake in the early morning (even if it is on a early Saturday morning) and just listening to the beautiful sounds of nature is absolutely exhilarating, besides the fact that it is one of the only things that will relax me.

Nate and I decided earlier in the week that we wanted to go fishing on Saturday (today), so we talked to Dad and decided where we wanted to go. After much thought
we came down to two decisions, Payson lakes and Spring Lake, which is in Payson. Dad assured us that Spring Lake was doing well and there were lots of fish... hmm... so we decided to go there. After a few hours we decided that Spring Lake sucks... Dad hooked one little, tiny fish within the first hour we were there but then for the next 2 hours we had absolutely no bites at all. Lets just say that Nate and I are now planning another fishing day soon to Payson lakes (which is always good fishing and beautiful).

We did have some fun w
ith Addi though... she loves fishing! I love that she loves fishing too... it is so fun to have here there casting her little princess pole a few yards out into the lake (no kidding... she is amazing at casting, we couldn't believe that she could cast it so far the first time we took her with her new pole). She had some fun playing in Grandpa's and her dad's tackle box. She absolutely loves the "cheese" or power bait that we use. She always has to put some on her hook, which is a princess crown... ha ha, it is such a cute pole. Even though it was an unsuccessful day of fishing, we had a blast with Addi, she kept us entertained!

Well I finally did it... after being told countless times by many people that I should join the blogging world I finally did. I have always enjoyed reading my families and friends blogs and have thought about it a lot, but just didn't have the drive to do it for some reason. Actually I'm not really sure why i finally did... but it happened.

Well I am currently a student at Utah's newest University, UVU. I have been a st
udent there for 4 years now... but don't get to excited... I'm still a year and a half away from graduation. Word of the wise... don't change your major four times and you will graduate in a normal time. I am a communications major with emphasis on Journalism. My dream career would be to be a sports writer for the Boston Red Sox. GO SOX!!! Yes I know its up there, but I will start low and work towards it, and yes I am a huge Red Sox fan!!

I absolutely love to write... minus papers, essays, etc. Basically I love to start from a blank document and build a news story. Along with writing I love to read and watch news as it is happening. Currently I read 3 newspapers a day: The NY Times, USA Today, and Deseret News. I read these three papers for classes I am taking right now, although I have always enjoyed reading The NY Times and doing the impossible Times crossword... I am getting better though. :) This is basically me in a nutshell.
